Navigating insurance for chronic pain treatment is frustrating. Some plans imply Calmare is covered, but in our experience, getting coverage through traditional routes is difficult and stressful: prior authorizations that delay relief, strict session limits that ignore your individual needs, and complex denial appeals that pile administrative headaches on top of physical pain. We prioritize your health and recovery with a streamlined self-pay model that puts you back in control.
Our You Only Pay If It Works guarantee
We believe so strongly in this therapy that we have removed the financial risk. We do not use vague promises; we use a clinical standard. To us, "it works" means:
A reduction in pain of at least 2 points on a 10-point scale, sustained for at least 2 weeks.
If you do not achieve at least that level of sustained relief, you do not pay for your initial 10 visits, even if we chose to continue treatment beyond 10 visits in hopes of lasting relief. If we continue beyond the standard 10 visits, the guarantee does not apply to visits beyond the first 10. We are committed to outcomes, not just appointments.
Transparent pricing
Calmare Scrambler Therapy
$300 per session
Flat rate. A standard initial series is about 10 sessions.
Additional modalities
$20 per 30 minutes
NeuX, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF), Red Light Therapy, and Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) for Scrambler patients, a 50% discount.
Payment plans
From $100 per month
Interest-free payment plans. FSA and HSA funds can be used toward treatment costs.
Potential insurance reimbursement
We do not accept insurance directly, but after your treatment is complete we provide a superbill detailing the services received and their costs. You can submit it to your insurance company to ask about out-of-network coverage. In our experience, many patients have had greater success getting reimbursed this way than through the traditional prior authorization process. It is worth exploring.
